Getting paid with Vesta, start to finish.
Ten minutes from sign-up to your first payment link. No developer needed.
What you need before you start
- An email address. You sign in with a one-time link — there is no password.
- A wallet address on Base. This is where your USDC arrives. MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Rabby, Trust or a hardware wallet all work. If you don't have one yet, follow the getting-started guide — it walks you through creating a MetaMask wallet in about five minutes. Vesta will never ask for your recovery phrase.
You do not need any USDC or ETH to receive payments. The customer pays the network fee (or Vesta covers it when they pay with the Face ID / fingerprint wallet).
Step 1 — Sign in
- Go to vestapayments.com/login and enter your email.
- Open the email from Vesta and click the sign-in link. It works once and expires after a short time; if it has expired, request a new one.
- Tip: sign in on the same device and browser where you opened the link.
Step 2 — Set up your business
- Enter your business name exactly as customers should see it on the payment page.
- Paste your wallet address (starts with 0x, 42 characters). Copy it from your wallet app — never type it by hand.
- Check it twice. Payments go straight to this address on the blockchain. Vesta cannot reverse a payment or recover funds sent to a wrong address.
Step 3 — Create a payment link
- Go to New invoice in the top menu.
- Amount in USDC (1 USDC ≈ 1 US dollar); up to 60,000 USDC during the pilot.
- Description — what the customer is paying for. It is shown on the payment page.
- Order number — your own reference (invoice number, order ID). Must be unique for your business.
- Valid for — how many minutes the link stays open. Default is 60. Use longer for links you send by email.
- Click Create. You get a link and a QR code.
Step 4 — Send the link to your customer
- Copy the link and send it anywhere: WhatsApp, email, your website, an invoice PDF, a social DM. Or show the QR code for in-person payments.
- The customer needs nothing from Vesta — no account, no app. They open the link and pay from their own wallet, or send USDC to the payment's own address straight from an exchange account (Bybit, Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, OKX…). If they have neither, Pay with Face ID / fingerprint creates a wallet for them on the spot.
- Send them our customer guide if it is their first time paying with USDC.
Step 5 — Watch the payment arrive
- Your Dashboard lists every payment with its status: PENDING (link sent, not paid), DETECTED (payment seen, waiting for network confirmations), UNDERPAID (part of the amount arrived at the payment's address — the customer is told how much is still due), CONFIRMED (final — the USDC is in your wallet), EXPIRED (link ran out unpaid).
- Confirmation usually takes under a minute for wallet payments and a few minutes for payments sent from an exchange (the exchange's own processing is most of it). Each row shows the gross amount, the Vesta fee and what you received, with a link to the transaction on the block explorer.
- The money is already in your wallet. There is no payout, no balance at Vesta and nothing to withdraw.
Fees
3% of each successful payment, taken out of the payment itself. Customer pays 100 USDC → you receive 97 USDC → Vesta receives 3 USDC. No subscription, setup, withdrawal or hidden fees. For payments sent from an exchange, Vesta also pays the network fee for forwarding the money to you.
When something doesn't match
- MISMATCH — a payment arrived that doesn't match the invoice (wrong amount or destination). The funds still went to the wallet the customer paid; Vesta flags it so you can check the transaction link and contact your customer.
- Paid after expiry — the customer paid a link that had already run out. The money still arrived; the dashboard flags it so you can reconcile.
- Refunds — send USDC from your wallet to the customer's address (shown on the transaction). The Vesta fee is not refunded.
Using your own USDC
USDC in your wallet can be sent to anyone, swapped, or moved to an exchange (Bybit, Binance, Kraken, OKX, Coinbase…) and sold for local currency. When depositing to an exchange, choose the Base network and paste the exchange's USDC deposit address for that network.
Connecting your shop or system
Your records are yours. Download every invoice, payment reference, deposit address and transaction hash as a spreadsheet from the dashboard (Download my records) whenever you like. With that file you can find every payment on the blockchain and even forward a waiting exchange payment yourself, without us — see what if Vesta disappears?.
Vesta has a small API: create invoices, check status, list invoices — and webhooks, a signed message to your server the moment a payment is detected and when it confirms, with automatic retries. Create an API key and set your webhook URL on your dashboard, and see the developer docs.
Security habits
- Vesta never asks for your seed phrase, private key or password. Nobody legitimate does.
- Vesta cannot move your money. The only key its servers hold pays the network fee to forward exchange payments; it can send funds nowhere but to you and the fee wallet.
- Your wallet address is not shown to customers: every payment has its own address, so nobody can look up your takings from a payment link.
- Keep your wallet recovery phrase offline. Consider a hardware wallet for larger volumes.
